The judgment must be in its full form, <a href=\"https:\/\/ambbeirut.esteri.it\/it\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/traduzione-e-legalizzazione-dei-documenti\/\">duly<\/a> legalized and translated;<\/li>\n<li>Divorce certificate in original (not to be returned) issued by the office of civil status of the municipality of residence in Lebanon, <a href=\"https:\/\/ambbeirut.esteri.it\/it\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/traduzione-e-legalizzazione-dei-documenti\/\">duly<\/a> legalized and translated<\/li>\n<li>documents proving the Italian citizenship of at least one of the divorcees (ID card, Italian passport or certificate of Italian citizenship);<\/li>\n<li>Divorce registration request <a href=\"https:\/\/ambbeirut.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/modulo-richiesta-trascrizione-sentenza-straniero.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">form<\/a> duly filled to register the divorce decree in the Italian Municipality (<em>comune)<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once legalized at the Consular Office, divorce judgments may also be directly submitted to the municipality in Italy for registration.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Registration in Italy of a Foreign divorce decreeIf you file for divorce abroad, you must register it in Italy with your comune of AIRE registration in order for it to be considered valid.
