The competence in issuing national visa (type D) to Malta pertains to the Embassy of Malta in Cairo (Egypt).<\/p>\n<p>At the time being, the agreement will be applicable to the categories of people who are currently exempted from travel restrictions to EU, namely:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Medic and paramedic staff;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Transborder workers;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Seasonal workers in agriculture;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Workers in transportation;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Diplomats, staff of International Organisations, military personnel, humanitarian personnel and staff of civil protection departments;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Transit passengers;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Visitors for urgent family matters;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Maritime workers;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0People entitled to international protection;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Third Countries\u2019 citizens travelling for study;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Third Countries\u2019 highly skilled workers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Visa applicants are requested to get acquainted on the health measures and other requisites to enter Malta via the following link:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/deputyprimeminister.gov.mt\/en\/health-promotion\/covid-19\/Pages\/travel.aspx\">https:\/\/deputyprimeminister.gov.mt\/en\/health-promotion\/covid-19\/Pages\/travel.aspx<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A new visa representation agreement between Italy and Malta will be in force from December 1st 2020.Therefore, foreign citizens residing in Lebanon may apply for Schengen visas to Malta at the Embassy of Italy in Beirut through TLScontact (https:\/\/it.tlscontact.com\/lb\/BEY\/index.php ).
