In the next 40 days the crew will conduct extensive cooperation and training activities with Lebanon&#8217;s Navy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Italian Ambassador Massimo Marotti stressed that maritime security, passive defense and communications are at the core of the new 6-week program that the Italian Military Mission in Lebanon (MIBIL) will initiate in the next days to strengthen the capacities of Lebanon&#8217;s Navy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2016 A \u20ac2 million high-tech hydrographic unit was donated to the Navy together with a training program for Lebanese officers at the Hydrographic Institute of the Italian Navy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Independent hydrografic capability is key for effective armed forces and the protection of maritime activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After the recent successful Rome Conference to strengthen LAF and ISF held on March 15, Italy is increasing her commitment to support the LAF, including the Navy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Italian Navy&#8217;s hydro-oceanographic ship, &#8220;Admiral Magnaghi&#8221; arrived yesterday in Beirut.
