APPLICATIONS<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>MUST BE PRESENTED DIRECTLY ONLINE.

<\/FONT>APPLICANTS INTERESTED IN ITALIAN CITIZENSHIP THROUGH MARRIAGE WILL NOW HAVE TO SUBMIT DIRECTLY THEIR APPLICATION ONLINE.

<\/FONT>IN THE TRANSITIONAL PERIOD – MAY 19TH, 2015 THROUGH JULY 31ST 2015 – ALL APPLICANTS WILL HAVE THE OPTION OF SUBMITTING THEIR APPLICATION DIRECTLY ONLINE (AS LISTED BELOW) OR TO CONTINUE WITH THE CURRENT METHOD OF APPLYING IN PERSON AT THE CONSULATE ON<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>THEIR APPOINTMENT DATE.

<\/FONT>STARTING FROM AUGUST 1ST, 2015 ALL APPLICATIONS WILL ONLY BE SUBMITTED ONLINE<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>(AS LISTED BELOW) AND THE APPOINTMENTS PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED WILL BE CONSIDERED CANCELLED.

<\/FONT>Although the requirements (documentation)<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>necessary will remain the same,<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>applications will now be submitted<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>on-line<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>by following<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>the steps listed below:

<\/FONT>1. The applicant will have to register<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>at :<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>https:\/\/cittadinanza.dici.interno.it<\/FONT><\/A>

2. After the login , the applicant will find a \u201cCITIZENSHIP\u201d section containing the following subtitles:

<\/FONT><\/SPAN>– gestione della domanda

<\/FONT>– visualizza stato della domanda

<\/FONT><\/SPAN>– primo accesso alla domanda;

<\/FONT>– comunicazioni

<\/FONT>(\u201cvisualizza<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>stato della domanda\u201d and \u201cprimo accesso alla domanda\u201d allow the applicant to check the status of his\/her<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>request)

<\/FONT>By choosing<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>\u201cGESTIONE DI DOMANDA\u201d<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>the applicant will have the possibility to submit his\/her application by completing the form:<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>MODELLO AE.

<\/FONT>3. The applicant must complete the form in its entirety and upload the requested documentation listed on this Embassy website, and a valid identification<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>(passport).

<\/FONT>The applicant may save, modify, cancel or submit the completed application.

<\/FONT>After reviewing the submitted application the Consulate may:

<\/FONT>– accept the request

<\/FONT>– request additional documentation or request that documents be amended

<\/FONT>– reject the application

<\/FONT>The date of submission of the document<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>will be considered the \u201cdate of presentation (submission?) of the application\u201d. Therefore, the 730 days of processing will be calculated beginning from this date.

<\/FONT>Once the application is accepted, the applicant will be requested to submit<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>to this Embassy all of the original documentation<\/FONT>\u00a0 <\/FONT><\/SPAN>and to make the necessary payments.<\/FONT>
