{"id":1039,"date":"2020-09-14T16:20:38","date_gmt":"2020-09-14T14:20:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambbeirut.esteri.it\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2020\/09\/visa-applications-and-travel-restrictions\/"},"modified":"2020-09-14T16:20:38","modified_gmt":"2020-09-14T14:20:38","slug":"visa-applications-and-travel-restrictions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambbeirut.esteri.it\/it\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2020\/09\/visa-applications-and-travel-restrictions\/","title":{"rendered":"VISA APPLICATIONS AND TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS TO ITALY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the relevant European and Italian legislation currently in force, the visa office of the Embassy of Italy may process the undermentioned visa types:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A. <strong>Schengen visa application \u201cC\u201d for<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Business\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Sports competition<\/li>\n<li>Invitation<\/li>\n<li>Self-employed (lavoro autonomo) &#038; salaried employed (lavoro subordinato)<\/li>\n<li>Mission<\/li>\n<li>Religious reasons<\/li>\n<li>Research<\/li>\n<li>Study (including internship and vocational training)<\/li>\n<li>Transit<\/li>\n<li>Transport<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">B. <strong>National visa application \u201cD\u201d for<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Adoption<\/li>\n<li>Self-employed (lavoro autonomo) &#038; salaried employed (lavoro subordinato)<\/li>\n<li>Mission<\/li>\n<li>Family reunion<\/li>\n<li>Religious reasons<\/li>\n<li>Re-entry<\/li>\n<li>Elective residence<\/li>\n<li>Study<\/li>\n<li>Research<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As per <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>tourist visas<\/strong><\/span>, the visa office of the Embassy may process only applications from the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Applications submitted by family members of EU citizens\/holders of EU residence permit (family members include spouse, registered partner, dependent direct descendants under the age of 21, dependent direct relatives in the ascending or descending line).<\/li>\n<li>Applications submitted by applicants who have a stable affective relationship (regardless of whether or not they cohabit) with Italian\/EU\/Schengen citizens or with persons who are legally resident in Italy (on a long-term basis) and if they are travelling to their partners&#8217; home\/domicile\/dwelling (in Italy).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Visa application are to be submitted via TLScontact: <a href=\"https:\/\/it.tlscontact.com\/lb\/BEY\/index.php\">https:\/\/it.tlscontact.com\/lb\/BEY\/index.php<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For queries, please contact the visa office of the Embassy via email: <a href=\"mailto:visti.beirut@esteri.it\">visti.beirut@esteri.it<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Important notice on COVID-19 related travel restrictions to Italy &#038; the Schengen area<\/h5>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of the measures to contain the spreading of COVID-19, Schengen States have introduced travel restrictions. Depending on the development of the epidemiological situation both within and outside the EU, travel restrictions to Italy &#038; other Schengen countries may be eased or reinforced.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All travelers are responsible for verifying the travel restrictions in place before departure.
