Explosions occured at the Port of Beirut. The cause is currently under investigation. Caution is advised, as well as avoiding the area affected by the explosions, following the directions of local authorities (access interdiction, security controls) and keeping yourself informed through the media. The Higher Defense Council proclaimed the state of emergency for two weeks and three days of national mourning. Provision difficulties may occur in the upcoming hours and days, as well as the risk of further limitations to the supply of electricity. The operational capacity of the airport and flights are at the moment confirmed, although the airport terminal suffered some material damages.
