Italian Defence Minister Roberta Pinotti paid an official visit to Lebanon to bid farewell to the UNIFIL military personnel and meet local authorities.
Minister Roberta Pinotti arrived in Lebanon yesterday to meet with the Italian military deployed there and with her Lebanese counterpart, Yacoub Sarraf.
Roberta Pinotti then headed for Naqoura, UNIFIL’s headquarters, where she met with the Force Commander, Gen. Michael Beary.
The last leg of the official trip to Lebanon was “Millevoi” Base, in Shamaa, where Minister Pinotti bid farewell to the Italian Contingent operating within UNIFIL Sector West.
