The Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs met the Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri, the vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, Samir Mokbel, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gebran Bassil, the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, Gen. Jean Kahwaji, and the Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Rai.
Minister Mogherini paid also a visit to the Italian Contingent operating within UNIFIL plus in Southern Lebanon, where she met as well with UNIFIL Force Commander, General Paolo Serra.
During her stay in Lebanon, the Italian Minister visited also an informal tented site for Syrian refugees in the Bekaa valley and a camp for Palestinian refugees in Beirut.
