Yesterday, concluded the visit to Lebanon of the Undersecretary of State for Defense, Senator Isabella RAUTI.
Upon her arrival in Beirut on Friday afternoon, the Senator met with the Lebanese Minister of Defense, Gen. Michel Menassa, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Yarze, before heading to southern Lebanon on Saturday.
After discussions with the UNIFIL Force Commander, Gen. Diodato Abbagnara, the Undersecretary visited the Shamaa military base, headquarters of UNIFIL’s West Sector Command, and the Al Mansouri base, where the ITALBATT Command is located.
On Sunday, prior to her departure, Senator RAUTI visited the command offices of the Italian Bilateral Military Mission (MIBIL) and the Italian-led Technical Committee (MTC4L), both located in Amchit, north of Beirut.
