Vaccination against COVID-19 and European green certification (Green Pass) in Italy

Lebanese vaccination campaign
The Lebanese Government continues its vaccination campaign for Lebanese citizens and foreigners residing in Lebanon. To join the vaccination campaign, you must register at https://covax.moph.gov.lb.
Italian citizens residing in Lebanon can join the Lebanese Government’s vaccination campaign free of charge, according to the procedures established by the latter.

Recognition in Italy of vaccines administered in Lebanon
With circular 42957 of 23.09.2021, the Italian Ministry of Health recognized the equivalence of foreign vaccination certificates, if they were obtained with one of the four vaccines recognized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA):
Pfizer Biontech, AstraZeneca, Janssen, Moderna.
In order to obtain the European green certification (Green Pass) in Italy, Italian citizens vaccinated in Lebanon are invited to contact the ASL of reference in Italy. For more information, please visit https://www.dgc.gov.it/web/.
With circular 50269 of 04.11.2021, the Italian Ministry of Health has provided indications for the booster dose for people vaccinated abroad with a vaccine not authorized by the EMA. People who have received vaccines not recognized by EMA can apply for the European Green Pass in Italy if they receive a dose of m-RNA vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) between 28 and 180 days after the first cycle.

Italian vaccination campaign for AIRE members temporarily in Italy
On 24.04.2021, the Extraordinary Commissioner for the Covid-19 emergency signed the Ordinance n.7/2021, which allows the administration of the anti SARS-COV-2 vaccine even to citizens registered within AIRE and temporarily staying in Italy.
All interested people are advises to consult the Regional websites for vaccination bookings and check if they fall within the priority and risk criteria. Through a dedicated service, the verification of the registration status of the AIRE of the applicant compatriots can be carried out directly by the Regions and Autonomous Provinces.
