Today, the Italian Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto, concluded a two-day official visit to Lebanon, where he held valuable and cordial meetings with President Joseph Aoun and his Lebanese counterpart, Gen. Michel Menassa, focusing on regional security, Lebanon’s stability, and the strategic role of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF).
Minister Crosetto informed Lebanese authorities of the Italian Government’s intention to maintain its troops in Lebanon beyond UNIFIL, reaffirming Italy’s strong commitment to supporting the LAF and regional stability.
Afterward, as part of a long-standing Christmas tradition, Minister Crosetto headed south to extend his holiday greetings to the Italian troops, expressing his gratitude for their dedication and service in support of peace and stability.
