Italy’s Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, paid a visit to Beirut yesterday, delivering a strong message of solidarity and long-term commitment to Lebanon amid ongoing regional challenges.

Minister Tajani held a warm and constructive meeting with the President of the Republic, Gen. Joseph Aoun, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Raggi. Talks focused on the current situation in Lebanon and regional stability, highlighting the importance of promoting direct dialogue between Lebanon and Israel to build lasting peace in the region.

During his visit, the Minister also met the Italian contingent deployed in the country as part of the Italian Bilateral Military Mission in Lebanon (MIBIL) and the Military Technical Committee for Lebanon (MTC4L). He also held a video conference with the Italian contingent stationed at the UNIFIL base in Shamaa, a symbol of Italy’s ongoing commitment to supporting peace and stability in the Middle East.
