Visit to Lebanon of the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Paolo Gentiloni (14 July 2015)

Minister Gentiloni’s visit to Lebanon started at Beirut National Museum, symbol of national unity, where the Italian Cooperation has already achieved the restoration of the “Tomb of Tyre” but is still implementing a project for the setting up of the museum basement dedicated to funerary art. The Minister also met the President of the National Assembly, Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Tammam Salam and his Lebanese counterpart, Gebran Bassil. Upon conclusion of the visit, the head of the Italian diplomacy addressed the Italian troops at UNIFIL headquarters in South Lebanon.
