The Embassy of Italy in Lebanon expresses its gratitude to the Lebanese Ministry of Culture – Directorate General of Antiquities, for lighting up with the Italian flag the facade of the National Museum of Beirut, as a message of solidarity during the Covid-19 crisis.

The National Museum represents a symbol of the strong bond that ties Italy and Lebanon. The shared commitment to the preservation and promotion of the Lebanese cultural heritage, with the support of the Italian Cooperation, is a concrete and living example of our partnership that we are particularly proud of.

With the same spirit, the Embassy of Italy thanks the Municipality of Tyre for projecting the Italian and Lebanese flags on the clock tower, expressing solidarity and proximity to Italy in these difficult times.

We strongly believe that through unity and cooperation, we will be able to overcome this unprecedented emergency.
