“ITALIAN SCREENS – FARE CINEMA” WEEK, JULY 05-13, 2024

“Italian Screens”, an initiative by the Ministry of Forein Affairs and International Cooperation together with the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture and organized by Cinecittà, lands for the first time in Beirut. For the occasion, the Italian Cultural Institute of Beirut will present four of the five finalist films competing for the Best Film of the David di Donatello Award 2024.

“Italian screens” comes also as part of the wider project “Fare Cinema”, a thematic review dedicated to the promotion of Italian cinema and film industry, organized by MAECI in collaboration with MiC, ANICA, ICE, Istituto Luce – Cinecittà, Italian Film Commission and Accademia del Cinema Italiano – Premi David di Donatello. Launched in 2018, the festival is in its seventh edition this year and will take place from July 5th to 13th, 2024, with the dual objective of promoting abroad both Italian cinema and the professional know-how of Italian operators in this field.

Therefore, along with the “Italian Screens” movies, the Institute will also present a selection of recently produced movies, some short movies and a small retrospective on Marcello Mastroianni.
