Visit to Lebanon by the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Franco Frattini, on the occasion of the election of the President of the Republic Michel Sleiman (25 May 2008)

Two hundred foreign delegations, including the Italian one headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Franco Frattini, attended the election of Gen. Michel Sleiman as President of the Lebanese Republic. The election of President Sleiman marks the end of the political-institutional crisis of 2008.
