VISA OFFICE – Update

The Embassy informs that, due to the decision of the Lebanese Government to close all unnecessary economic activities until 12th April 2020, TLS Visa Application Center will suspend operations accordingly. For any inquiry about the state of already submitted files or for urgent matters, you can reach the visa office of the Embassy via email: visti.beirut@esteri.it

The Embassy highlights that on March 9th the Italian Government enacted a Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers to counter Covid-19. Until further notice, the Decree forbids every movement of people (within Italy as well as in and out of the country), except for proven business reasons, force majeure or health reasons. These reasons can be self-ascertained, according to the applicable Italian legislation. It is strictly forbidden to undertake touristic trips to Italy. It is allowed to return to one’s residence and home. There are strict limitations to public activities (sport, restaurants, entertainment, etc.) and every form of public gathering.
Each and every one, Italian or foreigner, staying in Italy is subject to the aforementioned prescriptions restricting movements.
