The President of the Italian Council of Ministers, Prof. Giuseppe CONTE, paid an official visit to Lebanon where he met the President of the Republic, Gen. Michel Aoun, the President of the National Assembly, Nabih Berri, caretaker Prime Minister, Hassan Diab, and Prime Minister Designate, Mustafa Adib.
President Conte also met with representatives of the civil society and visited the blast site and the Italian navy ship San Giusto docked in the port of Beirut.
A visit followed to the Italian military field hospital set up in the Lebanese University campus in Hadath where he delivered statements to the Italian and local press.
