Visit to Lebanon of Italian Prime Minister, Romano Prodi (11 October 2006)

In the early afternoon of today 11 October on board of the Garibaldi ship, headquarters of the Command of Task Force 425, the Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, accompanied by the Minister of Defense Arturo Parisi and the Chief of Defense Staff Giampaolo di Paola, received the Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora.
The Lebanese Premier expressed moving words of thanks addressed to Italy and in particular underlined the decisive role played by the Italian Navy in the lifting of the naval blockade offshore  Lebanon.
