Following the reciprocity agreement with Lebanon (the Memorandum of Understanding for the Conversion of Lebanese and Italian Driving Licenses signed on December 6, 2000, and in force since June 9, 2001), it is possible for those who are resident in Lebanon to have their Italian driving license converted.
The driving license issued by the Italian authorities remains valid for driving in Lebanon for one year from the date the holder transfers his/her residence to Lebanon. However, the license remains eligible for conversion within the validity period indicated on the document itself.
